We’d like to welcome Jordan to the team!
Jordan Nyce has joined Elevation Solutions as an Account Manager and will focus on business development efforts with our prospective and current clients. Jordan earned a master’s in Business for Social Impact and Sustainability to support his interest in driving change through community and workforce development. He brings three years of consultative sales experience in the Salesforce for Nonprofits space, along with a background in real estate and asset management operations. When he’s not talking about how awesome Salesforce is, you’ll probably find Jordan golfing, scuba diving, or catching up on a good book or movie.
We asked Jordan to share more about his background, interests, and what he’s been up to lately.
What sparked your interest in Salesforce? Tell us how you started your Salesforce journey.
After working some time in real estate and wealth management, I decided to go back to grad school to reorient my career in an impact-focused direction. While I focused on working with community development institutions, I found a lane in nonprofit technology and, specifically, Salesforce as a way to support a wide array of nonprofit organizations to scale their impact.
What are you most excited about in your new role as Account Manager at Elevation Solutions?
I am most excited about supporting our clients through their entire lifecycle from initial contact through ongoing support and expansion. Working with nonprofit organizations while building and maintaining genuine relationships with the folks doing such amazing work is the best part of my work. And, of course, working with the amazing people at Elevation Solutions who are driven by doing good through their work.
How have you seen Salesforce empower nonprofit and education teams?
I don’t think it is a secret, but it is so crucial for organizations to get a 360 view of their constituents so they can better report on their impact, increase visibility of their work to funders, and ultimately support and expand their critical work. No matter the type of the organization, Salesforce is the ultimate tool to build a centralized source of truth and increase transparency across teams.
What’s one of your favorite spots in Oregon?
I love anywhere I can be near water! Whether it’s a hike in the Columbia River Gorge with waterfalls and gorgeous river views or somewhere on the coast with temperate rainforest lining the ocean. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be Ecola State Park on the coast about an hour from Portland.
Read any great books lately? Or, do you have an all-time favorite read?
I am most drawn to books (fiction or nonfiction) with a sense of adventure that take me to places or time periods I haven’t been and learning through characters’ lived experience. I recently read Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry about a cattle drive from Texas to Montana in the late 19th century, and I think that might take the top spot. Honorable Mention: Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts!
